Day 27 – 1 Samuel 3: 8-10

Published by tg50-james on

Reflecting on the bible passage 1 Samuel 3:8-10: It is the calling of the Lord. To first understand what God has to say to us we need to believe by removing all the blindness of the world and everything that keeps us away from God. It is needed from each of us to serve Him with all our heart and faithfulness, to accomplish what is our mission in life. Sometimes we all have those difficult days, and the rush from one day to another, school, work and so on, all of those things that are part of our life and take a lot of our time. We all have a mission, that is to redeem the faith and belief in God by His people, in the church, on the streets, to learn and to teach the word of God. However, we all were ‘Samuel’ at some point in our lives, not knowing how to distinguish his calling, and all we needed was an ‘Eli’, someone who put us on the right path and taught us how to listen to Him and finally build the best relationship that we could have. God needs people who are willing to listen to Him, who are ready to open their hearts and serve.

Hearing in order to obey.

Hearing in order to fulfil our calling.

Hearing in order to proclaim his word.

Hearing in the sense of ‘Here I am Lord, your servant is listening’.

Dear God, please remind me that my destiny is in Your hands and nothing in this world will ever be impossible, because I trust in Your presence and Your power and that You will always be by my side.
